- Natural mating is impossible: the bitch does not accept the male, size difference between both dogs, narrowed vagina, reduced libido, etc.
- Chilled or frozen semen is used.
- You want to reduce the risk of transmissible diseases.
- The ejaculate is used for multiple matings: when two bitches are ready for mating at the same time and need to be mated by the same male.

TCI or transcervical insemination
With TCI, an endoscope is guided into the bitch’s vagina. The cervix is located via video guidance and a fine, flexible and sterile catheter is inserted. The sperm then goes directly into the uterus. This ensures maximum chances of success with fresh, cooled and frozen semen.
It is a painless procedure that we perform on a standing bitch. Thanks to the natural acceptance reflex during her heat, the bitch experiences this process as not uncomfortable.
Intravaginal insemination
The insemination catheter is guided into the vagina, more specifically nearby the cervix, where the sperm is deposited. The bitch is then placed higher to prevent backflow.
