The story of Fertivets started when veterinarians Nathalie Vermander and Justyna Karolewska decided to join forces and passions.

Dr. Nathalie Vermander
Graduation year: 2004 (Ghent University)

Nathalie treats small pets with the utmost care. Thanks to continuous training and modern equipment, the animals are in the best hands with her. Her years of experience in raising and training her own dogs ensure that communication with her patients is an additional asset.

In her spare time you can find Nathalie at competitions and dog shows all over Europe and the UK.
Dr. Justyna Karolewska
Graduation year: 2007 (Wroclaw University)

Justyna is an animal lover pur sang. From a young age she participated in dog shows and later she was active in the IGP dog training where she even reached the IPO World Championships. Professionally, she has built up years of experience in leading veterinary clinics at home and abroad.

In her spare time you can find Justyna training in dressage with her horse or running on the Belgian beaches with her dog.
Dr. Audrey Lovenweent
Graduation year: 2008 (Ghent University)
Specialization: Ultrasound and Cardiology

With her expertise in cardiology and echocardiography, Audrey complements the Fertivets team perfectly. Pets can come to her for a wide range of services: from preventive screenings to close monitoring of heart patients. Her friendly approach and clear explanations are characteristic of her.

Our assistants / paraveterinarians
From reception to the operating theater and the hospitalization department… our practice assistants are happy to assist the animals, doctors and their owners. They form a close team with the veterinarians to provide the best care to all our patients.
Making an appointment, preparing food or loving care during your animal’s hospitalisation, nothing is too much for them! They all have years of experience in dog sports which means they can give you specific advice about raising your darling. Thanks to their ongoing training in rehabilitation and sports medicine, they will certainly be able to provide you with advice and assistance in our Aquabalance physiotherapy center.
Jolien Maddens

- Osteopathy in dogs ( SSI 2 years specialization )
- Laser puncture certificate in small animal (Italy)
- several courses on osteoarthritis in small pets and the senior patient.
Jolien is not only a friendly face at the reception, she is also fully developing herself as a sports coach in rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
She has already completed internships in various centers . She also regularly participates in shows with her Australian Shepherds, which makes seeing correct gaits a piece of cake for her!
Jade
She is our student veterinary assistant.
Full of enthousiasm she’s a part of our team and helps us in any way she can. Her love for animals and eagerness to learn makes her a perfect fit. You’ll find her working at the reception desk, assisting with surgeries and also helping to care for our hospitalization patients giving them lots of tender loving care .
