Laser Therapy
Laser treatments are often used for wounds and sprains because of the anti-inflammatory effects of the treatment.
In addition to the anti-inflammatory properties, improved circulation also reduces swelling, which in turn also plays a major role in the healing process of an injury.
A third biological effect of laser is that it has an analgesic effect.
A final frequently used property of laser treatments is that it stimulates tissue repair. This is partly a result of vasodilation, which stimulates oxygen supply, nutrient supply and growth factors. In addition, the controlled inflammatory process has a positive effect on healing. Cells that are responsible for tissue construction are also stimulated and energy production at cellular level is promoted.
